    The Graduate Seminars program will discuss the article "Global value chains and the rise of the Global South: Unpacking 21st century polycentric trade". The article, which is available on the website of FGV's Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE), will be presented by Professor Khalid Nadvi, professor of International Development at the University of Manchester and researcher specializing in issues related to trade and industrial development. His work focuses particularly on small business clusters, global value chains and global production networks, as well as corporate social responsibility and technological innovation.

    The event will be held in English and is open to the public.

  • Khalid Nadvi
    Research Coordinator of the "Rising Powers and Interdependent Futures" program at ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council), currently, Prof. Nadvi leads a study entitled "Rising Powers, Labour Standards and Governance of Global Production". Prof. Nadvi has articles published in more than 30 high impact journals and offers consulting services to various international development agencies, such as UNIDO, ILO, UNCTAD, IADB and the World Bank.
