Matthew ConnellyThe professor of international and global history at Columbia University, in New York. PhD in history by Yale University (1997). At Columbia he coordinates the "History Lab", with a mission to use the data science for social research. By collecting fragmented historical collections in a common database, the laboratory uses the natural language processing and machine learning tools to explore them.
