Data Science has become a key component in most analytical and decision-making processes. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together scholars and industry professionals to share the latest and most exciting advancements in data science theory and practice. In particular, the event will gather researchers and professionals from several academic disciplines of data science, including statistics, machine learning, big data and computer science, along with experts from academic and industrial areas, such as smart cities, finance, biology, and criminology.

The program will feature 8 plenary lectures and 2 short courses. The short courses are based on a practical methodology, providing students with hands-on learning on topics such as “Machine Learning” and “Natural Language Processing”, in order to solve real-world problems involving massive data.
