Iberoamerican Mathematical Olympiad gathers students in Europe

The 33rd Iberoamerican Mathematical Olympiad will be held between September 21 and 29 in the cities of Monte Gordo (Portugual) and La Rábida (Spain), bringing together students from 26 countries throughout the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America and Africa.

Iberoamerican Mathematical Olympiad gathers students in Europe

Eduardo Wagner, professor at FGV’s School of Applied Mathematics (EMAp), will participate in the 33rd Iberoamerican Mathematical Olympiad between September 21 and 29. The event will be held in the cities of Monte Gordo (Portugual) and La Rábida (Spain), bringing together students from 26 countries throughout the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America and Africa.

Wagner will lead the Brazilian delegation and also serve as a member of the International Jury. Besides the EMAp professor, the Brazilian delegation will also include Carlos Gustavo Tamm Moreira (IMPA), as tutor, and students Bruno Brasil Meinhart, Bernardo Peruzzo Trevizan, Pedro Lucas Lanaro Sponchiado, and Pedro Gomes Cabral.
