FGV receives award for ethics and transparency in public and private institutions
FGV Executive Education received the “Marco Maciel Award: Ethics and Transparency in Public and Private institutions” in the educational institutions category from the Brazilian Association of Institutional and Government Relations (ABRIG). The award ceremony was held on September 25, at Panteão da Pátria e Liberdade Tancredo Neves, in Brasília.
The award aims to recognize the efforts of institutions and professionals that contribute to the strengthening of ethics and transparency in public and private institutions in Brazil. FGV was represented by the coordinators of the MBAs in Government Relations, professors Andréa Gozetto and Rodrigo Navarro.
“The award acknowledges the pioneering and innovative spirit of FGV, an institution with strong ties to the socio-economic development of Brazil. It’s an important recognition from a representative entity that reinforces the work being developed since 2015”, said Navarro.
According to the professor, the field of Government Relations has increasingly gained prominence because of the recent political events in Brazil. Another aspect that contributed to the increase in demand was that companies realized the need to have professionals prepared and trained for dealing with government agencies. In this context, the Executive MBA in Economics and Management: Government Relations presents an innovative proposal that combines theoretical knowledge and an understanding of the techniques and practices used in this sector.
“It’s the first MBA course in Brazil to address this subject. We started with the offer in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasília and now we're expanding to our partners throughout Brazil. We started the first class in Curitiba and now the idea is to bring it to Manaus, where there’s a need for companies to maintain a relationship with the government in the three branches”, said the professor.
