Jean Monnet Chair coordinator teaches classes at Sorbonne Law School

Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida, professor of International Law and coordinator of the Jean Monnet Chair of FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio), was selected as a visiting professor at the PhD International and European Law School of the École de droit de la SorbonneUniversité Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Throughout the month of January, the professor taught classes on subjects related to International and Regional Law in Latin America for graduate and PhD students in the field of international and European law, in addition to participating in research seminars hosted by the PhD Sorbonne Law School.

Activities were coordinated by international law professor Jean-Marc Sorel, along with the professor of international law for human rights, Laurence Burgorgue-Larsen.

“It was an honor to teach at the university where I got my PhD seven years ago. To be able to come back as a professor after being a student makes me feel like all the effort and dedication paid off”, said professor Almeida.
