Call for papers: journal’s international issue features organizational studies in Latin America

The challenges and opportunities in the field of Organizational Studies in Latin America are the main themes of the international call for papers of RAE - Revista de Administração de Empresas (Journal of Business Management) of FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP).
The goal is to explore the specific characteristics of Organizational Studies in Latin America. According to the organizers, after the Europeans discovered the Americas, all of the continent’s history, practices and knowledge before that point were vastly ignored, leading America to be construed as the manifestation of European colonial power, which expanded its territories and its form of “modernization” throughout the world.
Therefore, the concept of Latin America emerges as a discursive construct, seemingly inferior to Europe and British colonies. This special issue questions to what extent Organizational Studies were consistently developed throughout the region.
The special call for papers is organized by professors Rafael Alcadipani (FGV EAESP, Brazil), Jorge Feregrino (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico), Pablo Isla Madariaga (Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Chile), Leonardo Solarte (Universidad del Valle, Colombia), Diego Szlechter (Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento - Conicet, Argentina), and Juliana Cristina Teixeira (UFSJ, Brazil).
