On March 9, at 7:30 am, the FGV´s Sao Paulo Law School’s Nucleus for Law, Economics and Governance will host the “M&A Conference of The Americas 2020 (MACA 2020).” This international event will bring together professors, academics and professionals who specialize in mergers and acquisitions from Brazil and the United States in the FGV 9 de Julho Auditorium, at Rua Itapeva, 432, ground floor, Bela Vista, Sao Paulo.

This international forum, which will take place in Sao Paulo this year, will discuss subjects related to contractual practices in mergers and acquisitions in Latin America and the United States, as well as the role of courts and arbitration institutions in determining the contractual design of mergers and acquisitions. In particular, the convergence of M&A practices, legal transplants and institutional differences that may be relevant to M&A operations will be discussed.
