Immersion takes international relations students to organizations in Geneva and Vienna

The FGV´s School of International Relations (FGV RI) recently gave 20 of its students the opportunity to participate in an international immersion in Geneva (Switzerland) and Vienna (Austria). They were able to see the day-to-day work of some prominent international institutions, attend talks and participate in simulations and guided tours.
Between January 27 and 31, the students visited Geneva, where they took part in talks and activities in different parts of the UN system, such as the World Health Organization, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), International Labor Organization and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). They also visited other international organizations and NGOs, including the Red Cross, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, the World Trade Organization, the WTO Brazilian Mission and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID).
From February 1 to 5, the group went to Vienna, where the focus was on atomic agencies. The students visited the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization and the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation. Since it was founded in 2018, FGV RI has organized several national and international immersion activities, providing its students with technical experiences of great value for their career development.
