Participants will discuss subjects such as domestic violence, impacts on the job market and income (focusing on domestic workers), inequality, and poverty dynamics in households led by women.

On May 18, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) will hold a webinar on widening gender inequality due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event will be broadcast live on YouTube at 7 pm.

During the event, the speakers will address topics such as domestic violence, impacts on the job market and income (focusing on domestic workers), inequality, and poverty dynamics in households led by women.

The event will feature FGV EESP professor Priscilla Tavares; Joana Costa, of the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA); Laura Schiavon, of Juiz de Fora Federal University; Lorena Hakak Marçal, of the University of Sao Paulo; and Solange Gonçalves, of Sao Paulo Federal University.
