Master Talk: Webinar discusses “The Amazon and the Economy: Is It Possible to Reconcile Them?”
On Tuesday, October 27, the Finance and Economics Graduate Program at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) will hold a free Master Talk about the Amazon and the economy, to discuss the bioeconomy’s potential and the region’s social and biological diversity. The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, from 11 am to 12 pm.
There will be two speakers: Carlos Nobre, a climate specialist, senior researcher at the University of Sao Paulo’s Institute for Advanced Studies and lead author of an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report on climate change that won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize; and Denis Minev, the CEO of Bemol and co-founder of the Partnership for the Amazon (PPA). The moderator will be Márcio Holland, a professor and the coordinator of graduate finance and economic studies at FGV EESP.
This will be the second in a series of twice-monthly debates involving FGV EESP professors, renowned experts and executives from large companies, focusing on finance and economics.
