FGV Energy and Brazil’s Mining and Energy Ministry launch Guide to Non-Conventional Energy Resources

On February 8, FGV Energy and Brazil’s Mining and Energy Ministry, together with the government’s Energy Research Company (EPE) and Rede GasBras, will launch a Guide to Non-Conventional Energy Resources. This publication takes an extensive and in-depth look at the use of non-conventional onshore energy resources in Brazil. The launch event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 6 pm.

The meeting’s opening remarks will be given by the mining and energy minister, Bento Albuquerque; the ministry’s oil and gas secretary, José Mauro Coelho; the president of FGV, Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal; and the director of FGV Energy, Carlos Quintella.

Fernanda Delgado of FGV Energy; Edimilson Moutinho of the University of Sao Paulo and Rede GasBras; and Thiago Barral of EPE will also take part in the event. The guide’s objective is to demystify the subject, contribute to discussion of public policy, facilitate investment and bring together key stakeholders who participate in strategic decision making about the way forward for the country’s development.
