Webinar debates budget processes in Germany and Brazil

Fundação Getulio Vargas' Rio de Janeiro Law School is holding a webinar called "Budgets in Numbers the Federal Government Budgeting Process in Germany.” This public event will discuss the budgetary process from a comparative perspective. It will take place on May 13, at 10 am, on FGVs’ YouTube channel.

During the meeting, Henning Tappe, professor of public, financial and tax law at the University of Trier Law School in Germany, will compare the way Germany and Brazil structure their federal government budgets.

The discussion will be moderated by Gustavo Fossati, a professor at FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School and the coordinator of its Budgets in Numbers Project; and Paulo Bijos, budgeting and financial oversight advisor at the Brazilian House of Representatives. The aim of the meeting is to present suggestions for public budget reforms, supporting research on the federal budget process under way at FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School.
