Political Training for Women series reaches last day of debate

The Diversity and Inclusion Program at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Rio de Janeiro Law School is holding its final “Political Training for Women Workshop” on June 23, at 6 pm, on FGV’s YouTube channel. The main speaker will be Jacqueline Ward, the head of the United States consulate in Rio de Janeiro.

The other speakers will be Clara Araújo, a professor at Rio de Janeiro State University and the coordinator of its Gender Inequalities and Relations Study Center; Ana Carolina Querino, representative of UN Women Brasil; the dean of FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School, Sérgio Guerra; and Ligia Fabris, a professor at FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School and the coordinator of its Diversity and Inclusion Program.

In March, the Diversity and Inclusion Program at FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School began a course and a series of workshops for women engaged in politics. Specialists debated challenges and possibilities in this area and stressed that women have a major role to play in politics. These workshops were part of the school’s Political Training for Women course and mini-course.
