The 3rd semester undergraduate student of the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE), Marianna Miele, attended the Global Engagement Summit (GES) 2014 - a congress that took place at Northwestern University and gathered students from around the world with the aim of finding solutions to problems that plague the planet.I attended four workshops during the congress. The latter, which lasted longer than the others, was the one that really captivated me. It was a workshop with three representatives of Simple Truth, a marketing and branding consulting firm in Chicago. Of all the moments of the trip, I think I can say that this was the most inspiring. I've learnt about tools related to the image of a social organization and I came up with ideas for my life as a whole. It was unforgettable, said Marianna.Another aspect pointed out by Marianna was the diversity of backgrounds and life experiences of the participants. GES gathered people from all continents, with quite diverse views of the world. This enabled me to get new perspectives on the world, culture and life. This type of activity is very important for my career, representing a strong incentive for me to continue developing and doing what I love most, which is social projects, she said.About Global Engagement SummitGES was created in 2005 by students of Northwestern University in the United States.  Its mission is to empower students around the planet, so that they find innovative solutions to global problems. For this purpose, GES conducts workshops, critical discussions and connections with leaders from various fields, empowering young people to carry out the changes they wish to see in the world. Please click here and learn more about Global Engagement Summit.
