Rio+: FGV will receive voting terminal on April 8th

Around 1,600 suggestions were submitted by the citizens and evaluated in collaboration with Rio de Janeiro Law School (FGV DIREITO RIO), through the Center for Legal Practice (NPJ).

On April 8th, students, employees and visitors of Fundação Getulio Vargas will be able to make a contribution to Rio+ project - an initiative of Benfeitoria, in partnership with Rio de Janeiro Law School (FGV DIREITO RIO), which aims to include the citizen in the reinvention of the city. A voting terminal will be placed in the lobby of FGV's main offices, in Praia de Botafogo, from 9 am to 6 pm. Participants can choose an option in each of the 13 categories - the most voted will be executed until the end of the year by the city government.This is the first time in history that Rio de Janeiro's residents will have the chance to see their ideas causing a direct impact in the city. Around 1,600 suggestions were submitted by the citizens and evaluated in collaboration with Rio de Janeiro Law School (FGV DIREITO RIO), through the Center for Legal Practice (NPJ), following criteria such as impact and sustainability.People can also vote online at the website www.riomais.vc. The projects will be executed thanks to a Public-Private Partnership among Rio de Janeiro's residents who sent their ideas, to Rio de Janeiro Law School, the City Government of Rio and the company Natura. The 12 areas covered are citizenship; sports and leisure; culture and arts; education; communities; inclusion; innovation; urban intervention; mobility; beaches, city squares and parks; health and welfare; and sustainability.The winning ideas will be implemented as prototypes for evaluation.
