FGV/EBAPE professor talks about challenges of BRICS

The professor of the School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE), Lygia Costa, was the guest researcher at the Symposium BRICS - ANPOCS, conducted by the National Association of Graduate Studies and Researches on Social Sciences (ANPOCS), on March 20, in the Brazilian College for Advanced Studies, in Rio de Janeiro.The event brought together researchers who discussed the social, political and cultural challenges of countries belonging to the BRICS - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Professor Lygia attended the table ?Desenvolvimento e Políticas Públicas nos BRICS? (Development and Public Policy in the BRICS), which explored the diversity of experiences of these countries, both at the macro and micro scenarios, bringing particular scenarios that might shed light on the successes, failures and dilemmas surrounding concrete social actors.This year's BRICS - ANPOCS Symposium edition aimed to further deepen, evaluate and disseminate the results of the International Symposium Desafios sociais, políticos e culturais dos BRICS no plano nacional e internacional? (Social, political and cultural challenges of the BRICS in the national and international level), held during the 2013 Annual ANPOCS Meeting, and further continue and stimulate the incorporation of a research agenda on the BRICS in the Brazilian scientific community.
