The coordinator of the School of Social Sciences (FGV/CPDOC) in São Paulo, Oliver Stuenkel, participated in a program of the British government to Brazilian scholars in the Falkland Islands, promoted with the aim of presenting to researchers the political, economic , socio-cultural and trading situation of the archipelago.The group completed a busy agenda that included meetings with politicians of the Legislature and Executive, historians, entrepreneurs and journalists from the local media, as well as visits to the Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Environmental Research and museums.According to Professor Stuenkel, by experiencing the many aspects of the island's everyday life allowed the elaboration of important conclusions.
