Webinar looks at Brazil-China trade: commercial partnership, opportunities and challenges

The Finance and Economics Master’s Program at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a free, online debate on Brazil-China trade. This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on March 13, at 6 pm. There will be a “Master Talk” about China, Brazil’s largest trading partner, which accounts for one-quarter of its exports and imports.

Brazil’s total trade with China amounts to more than US$150 billion, compared to US$90 billion with the United States and US$40 billion with Mercosul member countries. The event aims to explore the evolution and challenges of this important relationship and to evaluate new business opportunities.

The guest speakers will be José Ricardo Luz Junior, co-chairman and CEO of LIDE China; Hsia Hua Sheng, vice president of Bank of China Brazil and FGV EAESP professor; and Paulo Gala, chief economist at Banco Master and FGV EESP professor. The moderator will be Márcio Holland, the coordinator of the Finance and Economics Master’s Program at FGV EESP.
