Webinar looks at advances in public policies to decarbonize fuel supplies
The Center for Agribusiness Studies (FGVAgro) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a webinar about advances in public policies to decarbonize fuel and electricity supplies in Brazil. This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on June 1, starting at 7 pm.
The event will feature talks by Pietro Mendes, the Mining and Energy Ministry’s oil, gas and biofuels secretary; and Luciano Rodrigues, a researcher at FGV’s Bioeconomy Observatory and the director of economics and strategic intelligence at the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA). The moderator will be Fernanda Valente, a researcher at FGV’s Bioeconomy Observatory.
Biofuels have been gaining more and more prominence as an alternative to fossil fuels when it comes to power generation, making discussions about advances in public policies for the decarbonization of Brazil’s fuel and electricity supplies essential. This subject will be discussed with the webinar’s guests.
