FGV and ABM sign agreement in the metallurgic field

FGV Corporativo established a partnership with the Brazilian Association of Metallurgy, Materials and Mining (ABM), this month, to offer MBAs with a focus on steelmaking, metallurgy and mining. The agreement also comprises of the development of research, events and other training courses and specializations.In the agreement between the two institutions, FGV will offer MBAs in Project Management and Management focused on contents related to the manufacture of steel, metals and mining, also addressing issues related to sustainability, economy and market. The courses are meant for companies associated to ABM.According to ABM's president, Alfredo Huallem, the agreement is another step in accomplishing the organization's mission that is to promote and disseminate the technical, scientific and managerial knowledge in the industry in which it operates. Just like FGV, ABM will also celebrate 70 years of existence in 2014.Over the past two years, FGV Corporativo offered 34 classes for seven mining, iron and steel companies, including giants such as ArcelorMittal, Vale and Alcoa. With ABM's partnership, the number of clients and courses offered in this sector is expected to increase.ABM is a very important classy entity in the metallurgic, steel and mining sector. This approach is very beneficial to FGV Corporativo and it will help us deepen our relationship with companies in the sector linked to the entity, explained FGV Corporativo's Executive Director, Luiz Ernesto Migliora, noting that the courses will be aimed at middle and senior managers and employees identified by the companies as having growth and leadership potential.
