EBAPE talks about challenges and strategic public management at Brazilian Navy event

Professor of the School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE), Armando Cunha, participated in the celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the creation of the Master Plan of the Brazilian Navy. At the ceremony, held at the Naval War College, he gave the lecture The challenges of Public Management and the planning capacity in government organizations.The objective of the presentation was to recover the challenges to the State, the governance and public management, as well as its relationship with the ideas and the exercise of planning in government organizations over the 50 years since the adoption of the Master Plan of the Navy in 1963. Through a more prospective point of view, references were made to the vital force of planning within a framework of transformations, where it is necessary to change from a more technocratic model to a model more closely aligned with the strategic public management, said professor Armando.The Master Plan of the Brazilian Navy is an instrument to support decision-making, planning, implementation and control, which allows the development of activities and objectives according to the naval strategy of the military institution.
