The businessman and current President of the Board of Directors of Grupo Pão de Açúcar and BRF, Abilio Diniz, participated yesterday, August 19, in the FGV Panel - a biannual event promoted by FGV Management Rio in partnership with the newspaper O Globo. With the theme Leadership and Conscious Capitalism, Abilio spoke about his management style - baptized by him as Leadership 360°, which combines factors deemed essential by the businessman to maintain balance between personal and professional life: self-knowledge, stress control, love, healthy nutrition, physical activity, spirituality and faith. Regarding the economic scenario, Abilio Diniz pointed out that Grupo Pão de Açúcar has felt the impact of the growing middle class in Brazil through an increase in consumption at the chain's stores located in more distant locations. Still according to him, companies are the engine of the economy. If they are oriented at a conscious capitalism, they can be a strong propellant of the economy. The panel, aimed at an audience interested in FGV's executive programs, was held in the Center of Conventions SulAmerica, in Rio de Janeiro. Former student Abilio Diniz is also one of the characters of FGV's institutional campaign One Story, Many Lives, in which students, former students and professors talk about their trajectories in the institution. Click here to watch his testimonial (in Portuguese).
