EESP participates in Latin American meeting of economic studies

Professor at São Paulo School of Economics (FGV/EESP), Bernardo de Vasconcellos Guimarães, has been invited to teach the Mario Henrique Simonsen Lecture at the largest economics meeting in Latin America, the LACEA-LAMES 2013. The meeting is held annually and it combines two major events in the segment - the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA Meeting) and the Latin American Meeting of the Econometric Society (LAMES). The LACEA-LAMES is known for bringing together leading economists from various countries, in addition to researchers at economic institutions such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Bernardo Guimarães is the third professor of the School to be invited to teach the Mario Henrique Simonsen Lecture. Sérgio Firpo and Rodrigo Soares were chosen in the previous years. The LACEA-LAMES will take place in Mexico City between October 31 and November 2.
