FGV's School of Applied Mathematics (EMAp) is holding, on July 22-26, the workshop Rio's - Research in Optimization and Statistics - which will present recent results on optimization, statistics and Stochastic optimization directed toward the energy sector. The program - coordinated by professor Vincent Guigues and conducted in English - is dedicated to researchers, master's and doctorate students and end users in the industry, and will receive the participation of specialists from FGV, the National Institute of Pure and Applied Math (IMPA), companies such as IBM and foreign universities as well. Those interested should send an email to vguigues@fgv.br, with the name and institution he/she represents.
