Enrollment for the XVI Symposium of Production, Logistics and International Operations Management (SIMPOI 2013), sponsored by FGV's São Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) is open until August 9. This year's theme is Operations in Healthcare Organizations. Held annually, SIMPOI presents an important recognition as a discussion and networking forum for professors, researchers, students, businesspeople and professionals in the field, besides the fact it was ranked by the Qualis/CAPES system as a National event E1 - the maximum score. According to the coordinator of the event, Marcos Augusto de Vasconcellos, and the coordinator of the Scientific Committee, Susana Carla Farias Pereira, the SIMPOI aims to ensure a space for the dissemination and discussion of contemporary and relevant Production and Operations Management issues in Brazil. In its 16th edition, the event will seek to highlight the importance of the various organizations working in the health sector and encourage greater interaction between academic knowledge and practice in the management of this universe. The symposium, conducted in Portuguese, will be held between August 28 and 30 at FGV Berrini, in São Paulo. For more information and enrollment, go to www.fgv.br/simpoi (available only in Portuguese)
