The event took place in Vienna, Austria, in the headquarters of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the UN agency dedicated to industrial development for poverty reduction.

The proposal submitted by FGV Projetos in the panel Solution Exchange Forum on Energy, Climate Change and Energy Access, focuses on the transfer of technology and knowledge, through economic, financial and technical resources feasibility studies for the production of biofuels and foods in South-South countries, with a focus in Mozambique. The methodology brought to the event by the unit refers to the Master Plan developed under the program ProSavana, which guided the creation of an investment fund for the Nacala Corridor.

The South-South and Triangular Cooperation Leadership Awards indicates the international recognition for the broad trajectory of studies, projects and experiences consolidated by the teachers, specialists and coordinators of FGV with various partners around issues related to biofuels.

In the closing of the meeting, the director of FGV Projetos, Cesar Cunha Campos, made an acceptance speech thanking for the prize award. According to the director, the methodology developed by FGV on energy supply and poverty reduction represents the alliance of the academic world with the Brazilian way of development and counts on a large team of experts. What this team is trying to do, and this award represents, is to combine the approach to social issues with an understanding of environmental issues, both family and entrepreneurial businesses, regulations, labor laws and a strong partnership with the financial industry. We try to share the best practices and we believe that when a project integrates all aspects of the human being, it can bring economic and social development. It is a difficult task and it requires time and commitment, but the Brazilians know how to develop it, and we can assure you it is worth it, he concludes.
