FGV debates challenges of the World Cup with the Sports Minister and FIFA?s President

FIFA Master Alumni.</p><p>Coordinated by the professor of Sports Law at Rio de Janeiro Law School (FGV DIREITO RIO), Pedro Trengrouse, the event was attended by FGV's President, Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal; the vice director of the Institute for Educational Development (IDE-FGV), Stavros Xanthopoylos; and several heavy-weights linked to the sector - including the Sports Minister, Aldo Rebelo, and FIFA's President, Joseph Blatter. Participants discussed the challenges and impacts of holding the World Cup in the country, and talked about social responsibility issues, education and Law.</p><p> This seminar is the result of hard work, since the time when President Carlos Ivan signed a cooperation agreement between FGV and FIFA a few years ago, emphasized Trengrouse, who is also coordinator of the advanced training program FGV/FIFA/CIES of Management, Marketing and Law in Sports - offered through this partnership. According to the professor, the course is being offered for the fifth time and it has already trained more than 500 students.</p><p>This edition of the workshop, held annually, took place at Teatro Maison de France, in Rio de Janeiro's city center.
