“Amazon Dialogues”: Online meeting takes stock of Brazil’s tax reform
Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding another webinar in the “Amazon Dialogues” series, this time to appraise Brazil’s tax reform. This public event will take place on May 20, at 7 p.m., on FGV’s YouTube channel.
A talk will be given by Bernard Appy, tax reform secretary at the Finance Ministry. The moderators will be Márcio Holland, a professor at FGV EESP, the coordinator of its Finance and Economics Master’s Program and a columnist for Broadcast/Agência Estado; and Daniel Vargas, also a professor at FGV EESP and the coordinator of the FGV Bioeconomy Observatory.
The aim is to take stock of the entire tax reform process, from the presentation of proposals to the formulation of regulations, which Congress is now discussing. The event will cover the main points in what is considered one of Brazil’s most important reforms since the 1988 Federal Constitution was established.
