CPDP LatAm 2023: Event features multisectoral debates about Latin American innovation sector

The Center for Technology and Society (CTS) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Rio de Janeiro Law School will be hosting CPDP LatAm 2023 on July 19 and 20, starting at 9 am, in the FGV Cultural Center. The event will focus on data protection, cooperation and innovation in Latin America.
CPDP LatAm is a Latin American platform for discussing privacy, data protection and technology. It includes Latin American editions of three conferences: Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP), MyData, and the Privacy Law Scholars Conference (PLSC).
The event has a tripartite structure and features multisectoral debates. It hosts the Latin American Meeting of MyData, to analyze innovative approaches and technologies that facilitate data protection. It also discusses ongoing academic work at the Latin American Privacy Law Scholars Conference.
It is a unique opportunity to bring together diverse and complementary perspectives on data protection and its impact on democracy, innovation and regulation in Latin America. Proposals from stakeholders for panel discussions and academic papers are welcomed.
