Education experts discuss school management focused on learning and social inclusion
On November 5, at 9 am, FGV’s Center for the Development of Public Management and Educational Policy (FGV DGPE) and Itaú Social will hold a seminar titled “School management for everyone’s learning.” The event will take place in the FGV 9 de Julho Auditorium at Rua Itapeva, 432, Bela Vista, Sao Paulo. It will discuss ways to promote learning-focused management, including as a mechanism for social inclusion.
The seminar will feature specialists in the subject, such as Henrique Paim (the director of FGV DGPE, former education minister and education professor at Rio Grande do Sul Federal University) and Angela Dannemann (the superintendent of Itaú Social, who has a master’s in administration from the IBMEC business school in Rio de Janeiro and a specialist diploma in education program assessment from the University of Sao Paulo. Paim and Dannemann will give the opening talks.
After this, the subject of school management for everyone’s learning will be debated by Jaana Nogueira (the coordinator of FGV DGPE, who has a PhD in education from the University of California, Los Angeles), Mauricio Ernica (an education professor at Campinas State University, who has a PhD in applied linguistics and language studies from Sao Paulo Catholic University) and Tiana Tapety (the municipal education secretary of Oeiras, Piauí, who has an undergraduate degree in Portuguese from Piauí State University). The debate will be moderated by Sofia Lerche (FGV DGPE’s project leader and former Ceará state education secretary, who has a PhD in education from Sao Paulo Catholic University and a post-doctorate from the National Distance Education University in Spain).
