Entries open for fourth edition of Best Practices in Regulation Awards
The Center for Research in Law and Economics (CPDE) at FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School, in partnership with the Regulation in Numbers research project, is now accepting entries for the fourth edition of the “FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School Best Practices in Regulation Awards”. The awards are aimed at recognizing and highlighting regulatory best practices used by Brazil’s regulatory agencies, celebrating innovative initiatives in areas such as transparency, governance, participation, management and protection of the rights of consumers or users.
The awards are designed to promote improvements in regulatory law in Brazil by raising the profile of successful regulatory practices that have been developed in the country.
Entries about initiatives implemented by federal, state or municipal regulatory agencies, individually or in partnership with other organizations, may be submitted to the awards.
It is hoped that the awards will encourage successful initiatives to be replicated and adapted by other regulatory institutions. The awards also help people learn about how to overcome challenges often faced by regulators and they encourage the pursuit of innovative and efficient paths in the field of regulation.
Entries may be submitted between September 1 and October 15, here.
