Event to discuss fiscal policy and inflation

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Brazilian Institute of Economics (FGV IBRE) and the International Monetary Fund are holding an event to present the latest edition of the IMF Fiscal Monitor, which was published earlier this month. This public meeting will take place on April 26, at 2 pm, in hybrid format (in person in FGV’s main building and livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel).
The Fiscal Monitor is a report that uses a quantitative approach to analyze how inflation is affecting fiscal indicators and, conversely, how fiscal policy is affecting inflation.
The speakers will be Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves, IMF economist and guest professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP). The moderator will be Silvia Matos, an economist and the coordinator of FGV IBRE’s Macro Bulletin.
Venue:
FGV’s main building
