Event presents partnership results on ecosystem services and natural capital for business

On June 17, the Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVces) of FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) will be holding, at 9 a.m., the event “Integração de Serviços Ecossistêmicos e Capital Natural aos Negócios: resultados da parceria da Iniciativa TeSE e do Projeto TEEB R-L” (“Integration of Ecosystem Services and Natural Capital to Business: Results of the partnership between the TeSE Initiative and the TEEB R-L Project”). The meeting will be held at the FGV Hall (Rua Itapeva, 432, Bela Vista, São Paulo, SP).

At the opening of the event, Luciana Alves (GIZ) and Annelise Vendramini (FGVces) will present the results and the impact of the five years of partnership between the Trends in Ecosystem Services initiative (TeSE – FGVces) initiative and the TEEB RL project (Ministry of the Environment).

It will be followed by a panel with companies to discuss the importance of the ecosystem service-based approach and integration in business. The event will also be marked by the presentation of the new version of the Economic Valuation Guidelines for Ecosystem Services (DEVESE 3.0).

Researcher Beatriz Pereira will give a lecture on cultural ecosystem services in the context of the social license to operate. Finally, a panel of experts will discuss the subject “Ecosystem Services and Natural Capital: An agenda for the future.”
