FGV announces winners of Esdras Education Award

FGV’s Sao Paulo Law School (FGV Direito SP) has announced the winners of the second edition of the “Esdras Borges Costa Legal Education Award”. The winning work, which will receive a BRL 5,000 prize, is the project “Constitution of the Concrete: Identification of demand for socio-constitutional intervention purposes”, by professor Caleb Salomão Pereira, from Vitória Law School (FDV).
The projects “Legal Entrepreneurship” (Aline Marques Marino – Unifei); “Public Budget and Social Rights” (Ana Carolina Figueiró Longo – Uniceub); and “Building a State” (Tássia Aparecida Gervasoni – Imed) received an honorable mention. Both the winning project and the projects that received honorable mentions will have their activities entered into the Participatory Teaching Materials Database, maintained by Direito SP. The recipients were selected after evaluation by the members of the Esdras Award Judging Panel, through a blind review of the submitted materials.
Created in 2014 by Direito SP, the Esdras Award provides visibility, promotes and facilitates access to educational materials that prioritize the empowerment of students within the Law education and learning process. It also encourages faculty members and educational institutions to experiment, promote and discuss actual experiences regarding participatory learning in Law, ultimately helping improve legal education in the country.
The results of the 2nd Edition of the Esdras Award are available on the website.
