FGV EAESP holds mid-year university entrance exam for undergraduate administration courses

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) is accepting applications for its mid-year university entrance exam. The deadline is May 28. There are 200 places for the school’s daytime business administration course and 50 places for the evening version, as well as 50 slots for the daytime public administration course.

Of the 200 daytime business administration places, 172 will be awarded via the university entrance exam, six through the National High School Exam (ENEM) and 22 via international selection processes, broken down as follows: 10 through IB (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme), two via ABITUR (a German university entrance exam), two via BAC (a French university entrance exam) and eight via SAT (a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States). For the evening course, there will be 40 places awarded via the university entrance exam, four via ENEM, two via IB, one via ABITUR, one via BAC and two via SAT.

For the public administration course, 30 places will be awarded via the university entrance exam, 10 via ENEM, three via IB, two via ABITUR, two via BAC and three via SAT.

All applications must be made on the FGV University Entrance Exam Website, where the respective public notices are posted. The application fee will be discounted until 6 pm on April 9: the fee for the selection process via FGV’s university entrance exam and international exams is R$75 and the fee for the ENEM process is R$25. After this date, the fees will be R$150 and R$50, respectively.

For candidates who studied exclusively at a government high school (municipal, state or federal) or had a full scholarship at a private sector, FGV EAESP will waive the application fee. You just have to present documentary proof of the above by May 28.

FGV EAESP’s exams and results

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exams will take place online. Candidates must log on at least 30 minutes before the exam begins and they must present original photo ID (RG or RNM) and recent photos. Photocopies of ID or documents in which it is hard to identify participants will not be accepted. The instructions for accessing the exam will be stated on the Application Confirmation Card, to be divulged at www.fgv.br/processoseletivo.

The exams for the undergraduate courses in business and public administration will have two phases. The first will be composed of two modules (multiple choice and essay), while the second phase will consist of an oral exam.

The multiple-choice questions will cover mathematics, humanities (history, geography and current affairs), Portuguese language, English and reading comprehension. An essay will have to be written to apply for both courses. For the business administration course, candidates will also have an applied mathematics exam, while for the public administration course, there will be an exam about contemporary Brazil.

The first phase will take place on May 30 and the results will be published at 6 pm on June 24. There will also be an oral exam on June 28. The overall results will be published at 6 pm on July 9, including for the ENEM selection process.

Non-refundable scholarships will be granted to the candidates who take the top four places in the university entrance exam process.
