Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) is now accepting applications for its external transfer and diploma-holder selection processes for its undergraduate programs in Rio de Janeiro starting in the first half of 2025.

At FGV’s Botafogo site, the following programs are available:

• Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (10 places);
• Economics (10 places);
• Social Sciences (10 places);
• Digital Communication (10 places);
• Law (10 places);
• Applied Mathematics (10 places);
• Administration (5 places in Botafogo and 5 in Barra da Tijuca).

Candidates who are regularly enrolled in higher education courses authorized by the Brazilian Education Ministry or whose enrolment is suspended may register for an external transfer. Courses taken or in progress abroad must be recognized in the country of origin, in accordance with legislation in force, in the same area or in areas similar to the respective program offered by FGV.

Candidates with a higher education diploma recognized by the Brazilian Education Ministry may apply. In the case of an undergraduate diploma obtained at an education institution outside Brazil, the document must be certified by the Brazilian embassy or consulate in the country of origin of the diploma, or certified in accordance with the Hague Convention, and presented together with a certified translation.

Candidates who have taken part in FGV’s external transfer or diploma-holder selection processes in the last two years may not apply for admission to the Economics program. Except for the Administration undergraduate program, only applicants who pass the external transfer selection process who can prove that they have completed a minimum of one academic term at the institution of origin, with a score of at least 75% (seventy-five percent) for the subjects taken, may enroll.

Deadlines and fees

The deadline for external transfer and diploma-holder applications is November 14. The application fee for all available programs is R$150. The results will be announced on December 9, after 6 p.m., and the classes will begin on February 10, 2025.
