FGV opens call for cases of innovation for family agriculture with a focus on climate change and agroecological transition
The Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVces) of FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) presents the second edition of the call for cases of innovation for family agriculture in the Bota da Mesa (“Put It on the Table”) project. Companies and organizations of producers, civil society and public authorities can sign by June 14 to present innovative experiences that favor the inclusion of family agriculture in food chains, with a focus on overcoming challenges in the areas of climate change and agroecological transition.
Private sector organizations, such as companies, start-ups, consulting firms and farmers’ cooperatives; government agencies, such as municipalities and secretaries of state; and non-profit organizations, such as foundations, institutes, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), associations and community leaders can sign up.
The selected cases will be presented at an event with industry experts and will integrate the next edition of the Public and Business Guidelines for the Inclusion of Family Agriculture.
The Project is conducted by FGVces, in partnership with Citi and sponsored by the Citi Foundation. The proposal of Bota na Mesa is to promote the inclusion of family agriculture in the food chain, from the standpoint of fair trade, environmental conservation and food and nutritional security. With that, FGVces hopes to contribute to greater transparency in relationships and ensuring that the social and environmental role of small farmers is reflected in a fairer and more inclusive food chain.
Participation is open and free of charge, and interested parties can present their initiatives in the form available on the website.
