FGV provost elected Alliance of Management board member
Antonio Freitas, the provost of Fundação Getulio Vargas, was elected a board member of the Alliance of Management Development Associations in Rising Economies on February 18.
The Alliance was created at the 27th Annual Conference of the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) on September 26, 2019, in Wroclaw, Poland, when various management development associations from central and eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America signed a memorandum of understanding to establish an organization to better meet the needs of business schools in emerging economies.
The emergence of the Alliance ushered in a new era of cooperation between business schools in emerging economies that share similar values and challenges, with the aim of creating synergies and greater impacts on management education worldwide.
The goal is to add value to business schools in emerging economies, providing new opportunities for associations to work together.
Based on this vision, the Alliance has been working on projects prepared by regional associations, focusing on training member schools to conduct comparative and joint research, accelerating exchange programs with professors and students in emerging regions, and supporting the accreditation efforts of regional associations, enabling schools accredited by a regional organization to gain recognition in all emerging markets.
