FGV Transportes: New FGV center will draft and debate public policies in the infrastructure sector
Fundação Getulio Vargas has just launched FGV Transportes, conceived to set a benchmark in strategic thinking, applied research, studies, projects and innovation in cargo and passenger transport and logistics. In November, the new study center was introduced to public and private companies in the logistics, urban mobility and transport sectors, as well as financial agents and investors.
FGV Transportes will help lay out a positive agenda to foster socio-economic and environmental growth within Brazil’s transport sector. Some of the goals of FGV’s new study center include developing public policies for the urban mobility, logistics and transport sector, developing studies and projects for companies in the sector, and promoting applied research for the entire market, by generating and disseminating knowledge on this field.
FGV’s President, Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, led the opening ceremony of the center’s launch event. After that, the first panel presented the goals, targets, methodologies and products of FGV Transportes. The next panel held a debate between coordinators of FGV Transportes and guests, aligning ideas and general contributions.
Marcus Quintella, Rodrigo Vilaça and Riley Rodrigues then followed with technical presentations.
