Gender equality at companies is subject of FGV webinar
In the month in which International Women’s Day is celebrated, FGV Executive Education will hold a debate on March 25 called “Women who make a difference: challenges from various perspectives.” The meeting is part of FGV Connects: Students as Protagonists, an initiative to encourage the sharing of knowledge in many areas, based on management projects and success stories involving the institution’s MBA students, and also involving guests.
In the event’s fifth edition, the special guest will be Margareth Pretti Dalcolmo, a pulmonologist and researcher at the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. Other participants will include Rosmary Corrêa, the head of the First Women’s Defense Police Unit in Sao Paulo, and three woman who have MBAs from FGV: Eliane Dias, an executive who was rated the best female entrepreneur in the field of music in the Women’s Music Event Awards; Solange Mattos, senior supervisor at people development firm Promax Bardahl; and Patrícia Pugas, the executive director for people management at retailer Magazine Luiza; and Vanessa Cepellos, PhD FGV EAESP. The moderator will be Ana Ligia Finamor, the coordinator of FGV’s MBAs in management, innovation, leadership and teams.
During the debate, the speakers will discuss gender imbalances in organizations and the creation of fairer evaluation parameters, besides sharing their experiences. The introduction will take place in the form of storytelling, and then success stories will be presented with the aim of inspiring other women to overcome challenges imposed by these differences. The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, at 7 pm.
