International program addresses global climate governance
A new program will discuss the role of global climate governance in the creation of means to reduce climate change and adapt to its now-inevitable impacts. The Global Climate Governance Regime course will be held at the University of Bergen, Norway, from July 8 to 18, in partnership with the FGV´s Rio de Janeiro Law School. Those interested in participating have until February 15 to enroll.
The classes will be led by Professor Danielle Rached of the FGV´s Rio de Janeiro Law School and Professor Siri Gloppen of Chr. Michelsen Institute / University of Bergen, and they will use the Amazon, an ecosystem of global importance, as a case study.
The course is designed to provide students with tools for critical, complex and multidisciplinary analysis of climate governance. The participants will discuss ways to regulate, order, govern or manage a geographical region or the problem of climate change itself.
