Journal of Historical Studies elected Brazil’s best academic publication in its segment
The Journal of Historical Studies, published by FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC), has been elected the best academic journal in Brazil in the field of History and the fourth best in the world. The publication also ranks sixth overall among the Brazilian journals in the rankings, prepared by the Ibero-American Network for Innovation and Scientific Knowledge (REDIB).
The survey includes journals indexed simultaneously in the different indices of REDIB and the Web of Science Core Collection: Science Citation Index (SCI), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
Published every four months, the Journal of Historical Studies addresses a specific subject on each issue and aims to publish unpublished papers, with a historical perspective and an interdisciplinary profile, of researchers from the national and international academic community in the areas of History, Social Sciences, and other related fields. Linked to the Graduate Program in History, Politics and Cultural Assets (PPHPBC) of FGV CPDOC, the journal has an A1 ranking on Qualis Capes, in the area of history and interdisciplinary. The next topics are already scheduled: “History of Human and Social Sciences,” “Football, History and Politics,” and “Digital Humanities.”
