Meeting discusses Brazilian health contributions and improvements

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) is holding another FGV Health Debate, titled “How We Can Contribute to Improving Brazilians’ Health.” This public event will take place on June 7, at 4 p.m., in Sao Paulo.

Studies have shown that Brazil faces the challenge of growing chronic non-communicable conditions alongside various infectious and contagious diseases. Population-based surveys show that the country has not improved its risk factor indicators and protective factors for chronic conditions, and it also faces challenges in organizing the health system in the search for better outcomes. Addressing the social and economic determinants of health is fundamental for a sustainable change in indicators.

During the event, the fifth volume in the FGV Health collection, published by Atheneu and titled “Population Health: Management and Sustainability for the Brazilian Context,” will be launched. The meeting’s participants will receive a copy of this book.

The speakers will be Adriano Massuda, a professor at FGV EAESP and specialized care secretary at the Health Ministry; and Paulo Andrade Tufo, a professor at the University of Sao Paulo Medical School. The moderator will be Alberto Ogata, associate researcher at the FGV Center for Health Planning and Management Studies and a professor on the Professional Master’s in Management for Competitiveness (MPGC) at FGV EAESP.

Venue:
FGV 9 de Julho Noble Room
432 Rua Itapeva, 4th floor, Bela Vista, Sao Paulo
