New courses address Compliance and Programming for Lawyers and Entrepreneurs
FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio) has just launched two new courses: “LL.M: Compliance” and “Continuing Education Course on Lawtechs: Programming for Lawyers and Entrepreneurs”. The courses were launched under the FGV Law Program portfolio to train lawyers in topics that have had a direct impact in the field of law. The Compliance area is one of the fastest-growing segments in Brazil, which explains the massive upsurge in the demand for specialized lawyers and legal professionals both in the public and private sectors. Direito Rio’s new lato sensu graduate course offers theoretical insights and practical know-how for professionals seeking to learn more about the Compliance area, focusing on practices required by both the Brazilian and international markets. The total course load is 360 hours with two weekly classes, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The first class will begin in April. The Continuing Education Course (CEC) on “Lawtechs: Programming for Lawyers and Entrepreneurs” teaches basic programming notions to Law professionals and entrepreneurs, allowing them to work directly or indirectly with Startups and other emerging areas in the field of law. The course covers different forms of investment, the importance of data science and data analytics, and structuring business pitches for investors, in addition to discussing the impact of technology in business and providing basic notions of programming. The total course load is 60 hours with two weekly classes, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The first class will begin in April. Go to the website to learn more about FGV Law Program courses.
