Online event discusses vaccine distribution challenges in Brazil

The Center for Health Planning and Management Studies (FGVSaúde) and Center for Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain (FGVcelog), both part of the Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP), will hold a free online debate on Wednesday, November 25 about vaccine distribution challenges in Brazil. The event will be broadcast on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 6 pm.
The aim of the webinar is to present challenges involved in distributing vaccines in a country as vast as Brazil, in which certain regions such as indigenous territories in the Amazon have restricted access. These challenges include the need for refrigerated transport and storage and appropriate packaging.
The speakers will be Marcos Cerqueira of DHL and Walkyria Hercília Carneiro, the director of the Brazilian government’s Vaccine Distribution Center. The moderator will be Priscila Miguel, the coordinator of FGV’s Supply Chain Master’s Program.
