Public officials and experts discuss challenges and new prospects for health sector
In order to bring together leading players in the health management area to debate its modernization, the FGV´s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) will hold a Health Economics Seminar on November 29, from 9 am to 1 pm. The event will take place in the auditorium in FGV’s main building (Praia de Botafogo, 190, 12th floor, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro).
During the event, coordinated by Professor Tania Furtado, professionals will present and debate their views about the health sector’s challenges and new prospects. The event will feature public officials such as state health secretaries Carlos Eduardo Amaral (Minas Gerais), Edmar Jose Alves dos Santos (Rio de Janeiro) and Ismael Alexandrino (Goiás), as well as Denizar Vianna, the Health Ministry’s secretary for science, technology and inputs, and Gutemberg Araújo, a physician and city councilor in São Luis, Maranhão.
Other speakers will include André Medici (World Bank), Carlos Gil Ferreira (Oncoclínicas Research and Education Institute), Enrico De Vettori (Deloitte Brasil), Fernanda de Negri (Ipea), José Carlos Abrahão (OPTIONS Consultoria & Gestão), Tania Furtado (FGV), the dean of FGV EPGE, Rubens Penha Cysne, and FGV EPGE professor José Feres.
