Seminar presents results and perceptions regarding new Arbitration Law
The Nucleus for Fiscal Studies at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School is holding a seminar to debate Brazil’s new Arbitration Law. The event will take place on November 30, at 10 am, in hybrid form: in person in the school’s auditorium at Rua Rocha, 233, 2nd basement, Bela Vista, Sao Paulo; and livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel.
The aim is to discuss proposals from students at the school’s Tax Law Clinic to support the new Commission of Legal Experts set up to reformulate the Arbitration Law in the Senate. In addition, the students will present results and perceptions related to tax arbitration bills, focusing on building a multi-port system for Brazilian tax litigation.
Students who have been studying at the school’s Tax Law Clinic in the second half of this year and exploring this topic in their classes will moderate the event and ask questions. The event is being coordinated by Eurico Santi and Isaías Coelho, both professors at the school.
