Study measures replicability and adaptability of innovative solutions in small and medium municipalities
The FGV´s International Intelligence Unit (FGV NPII), in partnership with German think tank Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, through its energy security and climate change program, has just launched the final report of a project titled “Emerging Technologies Applied to the Renewable Energy Sector.” The document is the outcome of a project that sought to measure the replicability and adaptability of innovative solutions featuring advanced technology developed by startups in small and medium municipalities.
The report, written by Leonardo Paz Neves of FGV NPII and Felipe Conti, describes a practical and informative methodology for identifying the degree of replicability and adaptability of solutions. The methodology, which features emerging technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence and the internet of things, was developed by startups in the energy sector and other areas, especially in small and medium-sized municipalities.
The study also presents recommendations that may be useful to both public policymakers and managers in the governments of small and medium municipalities.
