Webinar discusses planning for resumption of in-person classes in basic education in light of COVID-19
The third webinar in the “Basic Education Challenges During the Pandemic” series will address plans to resume in-person classes in light of the ongoing pandemic, including strategies to be adopted by education secretaries. Specialists will discuss subjects such as the school calendar, learning methods and customer service challenges. The event, organized by the FGV Center for the Development of Public Management and Educational Policy (FGV DGPE), FGV High School and FGV In Company, in partnership with the National Council of Education Secretaries and the Itaú Social Foundation, will be broadcast online on May 21, at 10 am.
The speakers will be Eduardo Deschamps, a member of the National Education Council’s Basic Education Committee; Rossieli Soares, the Sao Paulo state education secretary; Felipe Camarão, the Maranhão state education secretary; and Sofia Lerche, FGV DGPE’s project leader and a former Ceará state education secretary. The moderator will be Tatiana Bello, the Itaú Social Foundation’s implementation manager.
